TOMORROW THE WORLD

When I was mad and rose from bed,
I had four new cons by my head,
And all my armies 'fore me lay
To keep me sober all the day.

And somedays for a month or so
I watched my pumped-up soldiers go,
In combat gear with many kills,
To grab far oil fields and their drills;

And somewhiles sent my ships in fleets
All up the Gulf to shell the streets;
Or pulled my tanks and forces out,
And watched towns burning all about.

I am the ogre great and still
That sits above the Congress hill,
And sees before him, wide and fair,
The conquered land of everywhere.
